F.A.Q.
“I’m afraid to speak to the IRS. Can you help?”
Yes! Once you retain our services, we file paperwork with the IRS which authorizes us to represent you before them. This means that you will no longer need to communicate directly with the IRS. If the IRS requires any information or wishes to speak with you, they will need to go through us.
“Why should I hire a Tax Resolution Specialist?”
There are multiple programs available that you might qualify for, which could permanently resolve your issue. Although you could try to navigate these programs on your own, we advise caution. Lacking a thorough understanding of the critical intricacies of these programs could result in you paying thousands of dollars to the IRS unnecessarily. You don’t hire us merely to fill out forms—you (or someone without specialized training) can do that yourself. You hire us because we grasp the critical details of each program and know how to strategically position you (utilizing the IRS’ own rules) to qualify for a solution that will end your IRS troubles. IRS Representation and Tax Resolution is a highly specialized skillset and it’s all we do! It’s our focus. It’s our priority.
“I saw a commercial on TV for a Tax Relief company. When I called they immediately told me what program I qualified for and quoted me a price for everything. Why don’t you do that?”
Unfortunately there are some unethical firms out there. Avoid falling for promises of specific outcomes on your case. Firms that provide IRS Representation and Resolution services cannot predict how the IRS will rule, as the IRS has the final say. A reputable firm will first assess your case to determine what program you may qualify for, so be wary of any firms that offer to take on your case without knowing the facts. When you take your car into the mechanic because you think something is wrong (it sounds different, there’s a noise, it won’t start, it’s handling differently, etc.), the mechanic cannot tell you what’s wrong and quote a price for the repair until he/she has run a diagnostic. The same is true when it comes to IRS Representation and Resolution firms. Once a “diagnosis” is completed, a reputable firm will determine their fees based on the complexity of your case and charge accordingly for the amount of work involved. If your case evolves or becomes more complex, the fees may increase to reflect the additional work. If your case requires expedited services from the very beginning at the initial consult (bank levy, wage levy, passport revocation, etc.), the initial fee may be higher in order to provide immediate assistance. Please don’t wait to address your IRS problems.
